Hi! My name’s Shannan, also known as Shannanigans by friends and family alike.

I first dug into gardening way back in Kindergarten when my elementary school transformed a cement recess space into a quarter-acre garden with a greenhouse. It’s in that garden that my curiosity blossomed.

Nearly 15 years later, I found myself continuing to expand my knowledge and skills in a new space called Garden for the Environment. Through their Get Up! program and continued practice over the years, I deepened my knowledge and capability across every aspect of gardening, including soil composition, watering techniques, pest management, and more.

All this led me to where I am today, a budding Garden Coach here in Portland, Oregon. It’s my passion to connect people more deeply to the Earth; it’s such an important part of being human.  I'm excited to be a part of your garden journey!
